About 3 a.m. last night, Judy asked for the nasal gastro tube. Instant relief. They drained about a litre of the green stuff from her immediatly. Today, she is less puffy in the face. Food intake will be limited until she is up and moving next Tuesday. Bowels still not moving. Stomach quite distended, but the gas is moving through to the exit. A good sign is: she is starting to feel hungry.
I washed her hair today. Another good sign...not the clean hair, but the fact she is starting to boss me around again. Seriously though, she is managing the pain quite well and is looking forward to more comfortable rest. I can see improvements every day.
She also got a visit from the stoma nurse. Stoma turned out really well. Flush with the surface - an inny not an outy. (My observation, not the nurse's)
I will be seeing the little lady again later this evening.
