Judy was out for a walk yesterday and today. She went a little farther today. Home care has been faithful in arriving right on time. Judy usually gets up for an hour or less then she rests for 2 or 3 hours. She has been sleeping well at night.
Her brother, David, arrived today. Tomorrow, Haley and Dustin are making supper at our place for the whole clan.
It will be a few days before Judy will be in contact with friends who are anxious to see her.
It will be exhausting for the next few days with family members coming in for the funeral and the funeral itself will be tiring for Judy.
She is far from being ready for visitors or even phone calls.
WOW, I'm so glad that you posted that Judy was not available for phone calls, as that is what I was going to do. Thanks so much for the information you are providing on this blog, Alvin. I sure hope my thoughts of love are being given to Judy as I miss talking to her. Please tell her that I miss her and am praying for her. This summer has had the full range of emotions for you guys.

ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you my friend. Your Dad orchestrated our friendship over 37 years ago. He also helped a very young woman and her daughter.

Hey Alvin:
ReplyDeleteI have planned a weekend away since early spring and can't change it. I'm so sorry I won't be able to attend the funeral. Please give Judy my love. Once she is ready, I would like to visit or call.
