Well, the dust has settled after Judy's father's funeral. Judy and her sister have been busy sorting through their father's things. David and his son, Justin, have also been helping to get Judy's mom's apartment in order. Eventually, she will be moved into a one bedroom apartment.
Judy is getting stronger everyday. She is able to take 5 minute walks in the neighborhood. She has been getting out everyday for a drive to her mom's apartment.
All out of town relatives have returned to their homes.
Judy is becoming more independent. She is able to shower on her own now. She is eating well and being careful with what she eats. There have been problems with stomach cramps over the last two days, but she has had relief as of this afternoon. Her stomach is becoming accustomed to the idea of having food pass through on a regular basis.
We hope to take a day trip to the lake on Thursday.
I am back to work tomorrow. I have to work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday this week as Intern Facilitator with the University of Saskatchewan.
I shall attempt to create new posts for the coming weeks, but the postings will likely become more infrequent, then we will say so long to the C word and all that goes with the C word.
Thank you to everyone for the cards and messages that continue to pour in. Judy appreciates your love, prayers, and supports greatly.
