August 2

NG tube still in today, but they are clamping it off for a few hours at a time because things won't get moving if they drain away all the gastric juices.  Catch 22.  If tube is in, Judy gets relief, but the bowels don't move.  It was clamped off for 6 hours today and just before I got to RUH, Judy threw up a bunch.  I had the pleasure of emptying the kidney dish.

Judy is also getting a little restless with being prone for so long.  Necessary evil, I guess.

Mary gets back from Alberta tomorrow and Haley gets back from Costa Rica on Wednesday.

The dog and I still find lots to talk about.

Actually, I do get a good amount of human contact.  I have been invited out for supper every night this week, then I go up to the hospital for a second visit.

Judy is still not ready for visitors.  She just finds the prospect of receiving visitors too overwhelming at this time.
